강하고 담대하며 주님을 바랄찌어다

Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

+ 주님은 요즈음 나에게 그분을 기다리는 것에대해 말씀하신다.
구약에서 16번, 주님을 기다리라는 명령이 나온다.
대부분은 이사야서에, 그리고 시편과 욥에서 세 번,
시편 27편 14절에서는 주님을 기다리라는 가르침이 두 번 반복된다.
"너는 주님을 바랄찌어다. 강하고 담대하며 주님을 바랄찌어라"
기다린다는 단어는 성경 원문, 히브리어로는 Kawah인데
시작하는 순간의 마음과 관계가 있다.
기다린다는 것은 한 지점에서 다른 지점으로 연장선을 의미한다.
처음 시작 지점은 사람의 마음이고,
선은 강한 열정을 뜻하고 마지막 지점은 하나님인데
그 하나님까지 진정한 열정으로 곧장 뻗어 나가는 것을 의미한다.
주님을 기다리기 위해서는 강하고 담대해야 한다.
내가 소유해야 할 그 능력은 내적인 능력, 바로 담대한 마음이다. +
+ The Lord is speaking to me these days about waiting on Him. Sixteen times in the Old Testament the call to wait upon the Lord is an imperative. Most often the command to wait appears in Isaiah, then in Psalms and three times in Job. In Ps 27:14 the instruction to wait for the Lord appears twice.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord”.
The Hebrew term in the original text of Scripture is Kawah. It has to do with the heart as the starting point. It’s been said: To wait implies the extension of a line from one point to another.
The first point is the human heart; the line is its intense desire; and the last point is God, to whom the heart extends this straight line of earnest desire. To wait for the Lord I need to be strong and take heart. The strength I need to have is inner strength—strength of the heart. +
