그럼에도 불구하고

고통에도 불구하고 하나님을 찬양하고
시험 중에도 하나님께 감사하며
유혹을 당할때도 하나님을 신뢰하고
고난 중에도 내어 맡기며
그분이 멀리 있다고 느껴질때도
하나님을 사랑하는 것이다.

이에 예수께서 무리를 떠나사 집에 들어가시니
제자들이 나아와 가로되 밭의 가라지의 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주소서.
대답하여 가라사대 좋은 씨를 뿌리는 이는 인자요 밭은 세상이요
좋은 씨는 천국의 아들들이요 가라지는 악한 자의 아들들이요.
(마태복음 13:36-38)
Then he left the crowd and went into the house.
His disciples came to him and said,
“Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”  He answered,
“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
The field is the world,
and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom.
The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
and the enemy who sows them is the devil.

한 제자가 예수님의 가르침을 받고자 주님께 나아갑니다. 예수님은 진리를 가르치십니다. 즉 예수님이 진리입니다. 영어 어원에서 제자, 디사이플은 일반적으로 위대한 지도자의 “수련생”을 의미합니다. 즉 지도자 발 밑에 앉아 세상의 심오한 진리를 배우는 사람을 말합니다.
가라지의 비유에서 인자는 밭으로 비유되는 세상에 속한 자입니다. 또한 좋은 씨앗으로 비유되는 인자가 속한 “나라”도 있기 마련입니다. 하지만 나쁜 씨앗도 밭에 뿌려지게 됩니다. 그들은 악한 자의 아들인 것입니다. 악한 자에게도 아들이 있으며 그들도 세상에 속한 자들입니다. 그들은 본질적으로 좋은 식물을 황폐케합니다.
세상에 악으로 가득찬 사람이 있으며 그들은 때때로 유대교 및 기독교의 믿음의 탈을 쓰고 사람들을 유혹합니다. 가라지 비유에서 볼 수 있듯이 세상으로 묘사되는 밭에 가라지를 뿌리는 악한 자들이 있습니다.

A disciple keeps coming back to Jesus to learn from him. Jesus speaks truth. Jesus is truth. The English word disciple normally designates a “student” of a great master. I sit at his feet to learn the deepest lessons about life. In the parable of the weeds I learn that the Son of Man comes into the world which is the field. There is “the kingdom” in which there are sons who are good seeds in the parable. But there are also weeds in this field. They are the sons of the evil one. The evil also has sons. They are in the world. They are like weeds which by nature tend to choke out more desirable plants. And there is an enemy in the world who is the devil who is the personal supreme spirit of evil often represented in Jewish and Christian belief as the tempter of mankind. It is the devil who sows the weeds in the field which is the world in the parable.
