게으름과 말씀공부 Laziness and God’s Word

 

말씀공부라는 의무에 

실패하는 이유는

성경말씀이 

이해하기 어렵다거나, 

따분하고 

지루해서가 아니라

그것이 일이기 때문이다.

문제는 우리의 

지적능력이 부족하다거나 

열정이 부족한 것이 아니다.

우리가 게으르다는 것이 

문제이다.

We fail in our duty to study God's Word not so much because it is difficult to understand, not so much because it is dull and boring, but because it is work. Our problem is not a lack of intelligence or a lack of passion. Our problem is that we are lazy.

+ 주님을 따르는 사람들은 게을러졌다. 우리는 리더들이 우리를 먹이고 교회가 우리의 믿음을 세워주기를 기대하면서, 특히 말씀 섭취에 대해서는 정작 우리 스스로 노력하려 하지 않는다. +

+ Many followers of Christ have become lazy. We want our leaders to feed us and expect our churches to build up our faiths, yet we are unwilling to put forth much effort ourselves, especially when it comes to a regular intake of your Word. +
