분투 Human Striving

우리의 평안과 확신은

경험적인 거룩함이나

완벽함을 추구하는데서

찾을 수 있는 것이 아니다.

우리의 죄를 덮으시고

거룩하신 하나님 앞에서

우리를 받아들이신

도저히 이해할 수 없는

예수 그리스도의 공의에서

찾을 수 있는 것이다.

하나님이 우리를 구원하사 거룩하신 소명으로 부르심은 우리의 행위대로 하심이 아니요 오직 자기의 뜻과 영원 전부터 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 주신 은혜대로 하심이라 (디모데후서 1장 9절) 

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
