거저 주신 선물 It’s a Gift

 
유일하신 하나님께서
예수 그리스도를 통하여
하나님의 백성에게 주신
위대한 선물은
어떤 언어나 용어를
사용하든지간에
선물로 밖에
표현될 수 없다.
그것은 우리의 노력으로
얻을 수 있는 것이 아니다.
하나님은 우리 노력의
채무자가 아니고,
우리의 모든 것이
다 하나님께
속해 있다.

Whatever language or terminology we use to talk about the great gift that the one true God has given to his people in and through Jesus Christ (“salvation,” “eternal life,” and so on), it remains precisely a gift. It is never something we can earn. We can never put God into our debt; we always remain in his.
